All right, guys. Now I'm going to go over some equipment you need for sparring and kickboxing. First thing, being obvious is your hand wraps. Don't want to hurt our hands. Want to make sure there's as much cushion and more importantly, you don't want to hurt your partner, so you want to try to make sure there's as much cushion as possible in your hands.

Next thing up is the style of gloves you will be using. Unlike the hook and loop, this is now laces. These laces are designed, so once you put your hands in and you tie them up, you lace them up, they're not going to scratch your partner in their face. Very important stuff, right here. Next piece of equipment that's really important is mouthpiece.

Obviously, you don't want to come out with no teeth, your front tooth missing, so a mouth piece is extremely important. You've got to make sure that it's well fitted, that it locks in and it's not pulling around. If it's too big, that's really dangerous itself because it might leave your jaw open, and if you get hit, you're going to have a really bad day.

Next one up, head gear. Obviously, getting punched and kicked in the head is not fun. This doesn't necessarily make it any more fun, but it helps a little bit. Make sure with your head gear it's well fitted It doesn't slide around your face too much and that the bottom strap is not choking you underneath.

And one of the last pieces that's really important so you and your sparring partner could stay friends is the shin guards. Shin guards are going to protect this bony part of your shin. Attacking them, hurting them too hard, so now you guys can continue on with your sparring training safely. All right, guys? Those are just some basic equipment needs for sparring and kickboxing.
